A Ship in the Night

Here I sit in wondrous dark,

In blissful surrender, I let my mind embark...

A smile touches my lips as I contemplate the insanity dancing 'round my head...

My mind bids me wake and think while others sleep sound in bed.

I sink into the music, into the core of my mind.

Where wonderment, beauty, truth and revelation are what I find.

Here I contemplate actions and words spoken.

Wondering at the validity and integrity of my principals... are they lying on the floor broken?

The sails are set, and my mind drifts aimlessly through it's own murky depths.

Passions stir and ebb, faces and objects focus and blur... Machinery, trees, buildings, steps...

Realizations come and go.

Expanding always the truths I know.

Deeper, deeper I go, where thoughts are only forms, and expressions are lacking.

All grip on the waking world now is slacking.

Sleep at last has found me,

I am gladdened, for it's treasure has no boundary.
